Wild Mountain Thyme, which includes Brenda Miller and Chuck Flaim, has performed as a duo throughout the tri-state area for 13 years. Their repertoire consists of Celtic, old-time, folk, gospel, Americana, rock, and classical music performed on various combinations of the following musical instruments: mountain dulcimer, hammer dulcimer, Irish penny whistle, bowed psaltery, guitar, mandolin, harmonica, and Cajon. Chuck Flaim was the 2012 Kentucky State Mountain Dulcimer Champion and finished runner-up on four occasions. In 2012, Chuck also finished tied for 11th place at the National Dulcimer Competition.One of the prettiest types of music played on these instruments in Christmas music. Whether a traditional hymn or carol is played, seasonal sounds from this genre are beautiful, awe-inspiring, and uplifting. Celtic and Americana renditions have long been part of our holiday heritage.
