Blank Park Zoo’s Wild Lights Festival presented by MidAmerican Energy Company features nearly 50 handcrafted, larger-than-life, illuminated Asian lanterns. This year’s festival features animal displays, interactives, Asian mythical creatures, and many, many photo and selfie opportunities.Event Details:
April 5-May 27 (nightly, Wednesday – Sunday plus Memorial Day)
Time: 7:30 p.m. – 10 p.m. (last admission at 9:30 p.m.)
The best times to walk the path and see the lights begin at sunset. Allow 60-90 minutes for the best viewing experience. Admission begins at 7:30 p.m., but you may enter the festival anytime until 9:30 p.m.

Group tickets: group ticket discounts for groups of 40 or more. Call 515-285-4722 for more information. Tickets are limited for each evening, please purchase tickets in advance.
Blank Park Zoo's Wild Lights Festival Presented by MidAmerican Energy Company is a rain or shine event. We are unable to offer refunds on tickets. The event is held rain or shine. Changes to tickets already purchased are available on a limited basis to a date as capacity allows. Ticket changes must be completed during office hours before the ticket date. Ticket changes are available via phone during regular office hours, Monday - Friday, 9 a.m. - 5 p.m. by calling 515-285-4722. Unused tickets cannot be changed after the original ticket date has passed. Please note that tickets may increase in price during the event and any changes are subject to a price adjustment. Please note this is an evening event festival and tickets do not include animal viewing or daytime admission to Blank Park Zoo.
