It’s build-your-own-taco night – with ecology in mind! Mt. Cuba’s natural lands support a variety of wild game, some of which have negative impacts on our native vegetation. Management of these species provides us with locally sourced, sustainable food. Join us for a casual evening around a campfire, grilling wild game meats and veggies, while sipping some drinks. Fresh toppings and everything you need to make Mt. Cuba-inspired tacos will be provided. Please bring your beverage of choice. Class size is limited.
This program takes place in-person (at Mt. Cuba Center) Sunday, October 17 (Rain Date: Sunday, October 24)
About the Instructor:Nate Shampine, CERP, is Mt. Cuba Center’s Natural Lands Manager responsible for implementing land conservation practices and developing healthy and functional ecosystems. He is a graduate of SUNY College of Environmental Science and Forestry, and he is also a Certified Ecological Restoration Practitioner through the Society for Ecological Restoration.
