Looking for a fun and engaging way to keep your 8–12-year-olds learning this summer? Join History Cherokee for Wild Discovery Summer Camp, happening July 13 - 17, 2026, from 10 a.m. – 3 p.m. each day! Each day campers will explore a different history theme through STEAM-based activities that connect to the fascinating exhibits at the Cherokee County History Center. This week's daily themes are History Through Comics, River Science, Archaeology, Reptiles, and Mystery at the Museum. $30 per day or $120 for the whole week.Today's theme is History Through Comics. We are excited to welcome Shuchi Mishra, assistant professor of illustration and sequential art at Kennesaw State University as our guest speaker. Campers will learn about comics, both as an art form and as a method of storytelling.
