Hikes Overview:
Transkei Day Trip 🌊 – Approx. 17km | Grade 3 (distance & beach walking)
Duration: 9 hours (including transport)
Umtamvuna Nature Reserve 🌿 – Approx. 8km | Grade 2-3
Duration: 4 hours
Mini Red Desert 🏜️ – 3km | Grade 1
Duration: 1 hour
Note: Moderate fitness is required for Hikes 1 and 2. No beginners or casual hikers allowed!
What to Bring:
For the hikes:
Snacks, water, or cold drinks
A cap, backpack, and camera/phone 📸
Hiking boots with good grip
Water shoes for river crossings (and a small towel)
For camping:
All your camping gear (tent, sleeping bag, mattress, lights, etc.)
Your own food and drinks 🍽️
Fishing gear (optional for river fishing) 🎣

Grade 1: Easy. Minimal fitness required
