Wild Beings - Tote Bag Printing & Mindfulness

Wild Beings is a series of wellbeing activities for adults, providing a safe and supportive space to reconnect with nature in a meaningful way. All sessions include mindfulness and a nature inspired craft activity

During this relaxing and fun morning in the woods, you will have the opportunity to decorate a tote bag with leaf prints which you can then take home with you. Our experienced facilitators will guide you through the process helping you to create a piece of art that is both unique and personal.

You will also have the chance to practice mindfulness in nature. You will be guided through a mindfulness exercise, helping you to become more present and fully immersed in the beauty of your surroundings.

The morning will include:

• Welcome and hot drinks using the Kelly kettles
• Guided mindfulness exercise
• Short walk to forage for natural items to make prints with
• Activity: decorate your very own tote bag
• A reflective exercise to round off the session

There will also be time to sit and chat around a fire, and a hammock for those who would like to relax and soak in the natural woodland ambience, plus an opportunity to learn how to use the Kelly kettles.

The session will be led by experienced ‘wellbeing in nature’ practitioners from Wiltshire Wildlife Trust’s Wellbeing Team, and will include tote bag, all tools and materials needed, as well as hot drinks and biscuits.

Meet your host:

Melanie Vincent, Wiltshire Wildlife Trust Wellbeing Project Officer. Melanie has a wealth of experience delivering ‘wellbeing in nature’ sessions; she is also a qualified Forest School Leader and a trainee counsellor. In her spare time she enjoys nothing more than long walks in the woods, with a hot drink and a hammock to relax in.
