Wild baskets

Welcome to our Wild Baskets event! Join us on Sat Nov 16 2024 at 10:00 AM until 12.30pm at Woodland Wellbeing HQ for a morning of fun and creativity. Get ready to unleash your inner artist and create beautiful baskets using natural materials found in the wild. This hands-on workshop will teach you the basics of basket weaving while connecting with nature. No experience is necessary, just bring your enthusiasm and creativity. Enjoy this unique opportunity to learn a new skill and make something beautiful to take home!

You will find yourself in a beautiful woodland garden in Norton Lees,15 minutes from Sheffield city centre, next to the babbling Meersbrook where you can easily be immersed into the sounds and feel of a semi-ancient woodland.

There will also be an opportunity to forage and delve a bit deeper into plant lore and gather to enjoy a warm drink heated on the fire and some delicious cake with seasonal ingredients.

All you need to bring is yourself and dress for the weather.

In the event of heavy rain or strong winds, the event may be rescheduled and / or refunds offered. In the event of lighter rain, the area will be covered with shelters.

Welfare facilities are available in the house.

Accessibility - the woodland garden is set in a small valley down steep steps so no wheelchair access is available unfortunately. We would like to run similar sessions in other areas of Sheffield so if you would like to join but need good access, please do let us know so we can contact you for future sessions.

There is plenty of roadside parking and the space is a 5 minute walk from the number 20 and 18 bus stops. There is also a place to secure bikes.
