The German Culture and Language Group (Bath German Society) invites you to Wien, du Stadt meiner Träume, a Viennese evening reflecting the final golden years of the Habsburg Empire from the 1870s up to the 1920s.
There will be music from theatre, cafe and cabaret with songs by Strauss, Lehar, Mahler, Berg, Korngold and Leopoldi, performed by Jennifer Thomas, Trixy Alberga and William Starling, accompanied by Steven Hollas on the piano.
Audience participation welcome; there will be an opportunity to sing along during your favourite songs. The songs will be in German, with introductions in English. Refreshments include coffee, wine and cakes. Feel free to wear something Austrian if you wish!
