WIECZÓR INDYJSKIEJ MUZYKI KLASYCZNEJ
Sanjeev Korti (sitar) i Karthik Krishna (tabla)
SANJEEV KORTI - SITAR
Ceniony sitarzysta z Karnataki, założyciel i prezes Swartaranga Sangeet Academy w Bengaluru.
KARTHIK KRISHNA - TABLA
Tablista z Bengaluru, artysta kategorii A w All India Radio i Doordarshan. Uczeń mistrzów Rajgopala Kallurkara i Subhankara Banerjee.

AN EVENING OF INDIAN CLASSICAL MUSIC
Sanjeev Korti (sitar) and Karthik Krishna (tabla)
Mantra Sound invites you to a concert featuring two outstanding musicians from India. On 4 November, the rich resonance of the sitar and the pulse of the tabla will fill Sala Amarantowa at Dom Tramwajarza in Poznań. For generations, the dialogue between these instruments has been at the heart of North Indian classical music.
This evening offers a chance to hear improvisation unfold through melody and rhythm: from quiet, spacious phrases to quick, energetic exchanges between the musicians. The music is rooted in ragas, which shape its melodic character, and taal, or rhythmic cycles. Within these structures, the artists have immense freedom to respond to one another and develop a shared musical story.
SANJEEV KORTI - SITAR
A highly regarded sitarist from Karnataka and the founder and president of Swartaranga Sangeet Academy in Bengaluru. He performs in India and internationally, and has trained many musicians who now appear on concert stages themselves. His playing combines precision and a deep knowledge of tradition with freedom of improvisation.
KARTHIK KRISHNA - TABLA
A tabla player from Bengaluru and an A Grade artist with All India Radio and Doordarshan. A disciple of renowned masters Rajgopal Kallurkar and Subhankar Banerjee, he has been performing and teaching for more than two decades. Audiences in Poznań may remember his performances with Surtarang earlier this year at Pyrkon and KontenerART, where he also led the “Puls Indii” Indian rhythm workshops.
Everyone is welcome, whether you already know and love Indian classical music or are discovering it live for the first time. The intimate setting of Sala Amarantowa offers a chance to observe both artists closely and hear the subtle details of their instruments.
