The heart of this Wicks and Witches event is in sharing time together. Enjoy comforting seasonal refreshments, with offerings of pan de muerto, cocoa, tea, and coffee alongside sweet and savory treats, reminiscent of gatherings around the hearth. Our Community Ofrenda will stand as a collective altar, where guests are invited to bring photos, objects, or favorite treats to honor and remember their loved ones. You may also take a quiet moment to write Letters to the Dead, words of remembrance, love, or longing that can be placed on the altar or carried home as a keepsake close to the heart.
Tradition and creativity come alive through shared experiences. Children and adults alike may participate in Calavera Face Painting, honoring the beauty and symbolism of Día de Muertos while remembering those who came before us. Craft delicate Mariposa Butterflies, symbols of the souls of the departed returning to visit, each one a gentle gesture of connection between the living and the dead.
Family and community spirit will also be celebrated with our Costume Contest, a playful nod to the season’s festive side. Guests are welcome to arrive dressed as a beloved ancestor, historical figure, or personal hero, with prizes recognizing creativity, heart, and spirit across several categories.
Finally, step into the warm glow at the fragrance bar, where you can blend scents from our exclusive Día de Muertos–inspired fragrance menu. Whether you choose to create a candle, lotion, or soap, you’ll leave with an item infused with intention, memory, and light.
Wicks and Witches is a space to gather, to remember, and to celebrate. Come add your story to the circle, and let the warmth of community and tradition guide us into the season together.
