Join in the holiday spooky fun and venture thorough the woods of West Neck Natural Area that are home to one of Virginia Beach’s old Historic Houses, The Buffington House.
During this 2.5 hour program you will craft a lantern and walk through the wooded trail that leads to the haunted historical home. Along the trail you will learn about animals of the night and then be greeted by Parks and Recreation Staff members for an evening of s'mores, haunted history, and family fun activities around a fire.
If you are feeling brave enough, think about embarking on the optional grave tour of a colonial ghost who is said to make an appearance from time to time.
This activity includes a craft, s'mores, trail entrance, campfire stories, and optional tours of the Colonial Whitehurst Buffington Home and James Whitehurst’s Grave. This haunted walk is appropriate for families and children ages 5+. Join in on the fun, and don’t be late as tickets will sell out.
Tickets are $8 per person, and will include a craft, entrance into the trail, a s'more, and haunted history fun and games.

Those under the age of 18 must be accompanied by an adult. Families welcome! All participants must be registered and pay activity fee.
Arrive between 6-7pm; depending on how long you want to spend on trail exploring. Campfire stores begin promptly at 8pm.
