Wicked High Tide at Long Wharf

December 4th and 5th, Boston is due to experience a spectacular tidal event: Perigean Spring Tides. These “wicked high tides” are 2-4 feet higher than normal and give us a window into how sea level rise will soon affect our daily lives.

Join the Stone Living Lab at the end of Long Wharf to learn about what causes these wicked high tides and what they can tell us about climate change in Boston.

The Stone Living Lab is an innovative and collaborative initiative for testing and scaling up nature-based approaches to climate adaptation, coastal resilience and ecological restoration in the high-energy environment of the Boston Harbor Islands National and State Park.
