Wichita River Cleanup - 8/8/26

IT'S HAPPENING! WE ARE RETURNING TO THE GANDER MOUNTAIN/KINGS OF FREIGHT PARKING LOT!
On Saturday, August 8th at 9:00am, we will be meeting up for our monthly cleanup at the parking lot just south of Kings of Freight/Old Gander Mountain at roughly 605 S. Wichita Street. The parking lot is situated under Kellogg. Only the parking lot located on the river-side of the street is free. If you parking across the street you will have to pay for parking.
Bags, gloves, and grabbers will all be provided. Anyone and everyone is invited to help out, but please leave pets behind. Wear a sturdy pair of shoes that you are okay with getting dirty. Be prepared for hot weather. A hat, water, and sunscreen are recommended.
Check back here for any weather related cancellations. We will plan to be out there unless there is snow, ice, or it is thunderstorming.
By showing up you are waiving Wichita RiverWalk Cleanup Crew of any liability, including any potential injuries that may occur.
This will be an event that happens on the 2nd Saturday of every month so if you can't make it to this one, please try to make it to a future event. Please check back here for the location of the next cleanup. Any amount of trash we can remove from the area around the river will be a great start to keeping our river clean!
