🎸 Jeff Harshbarger – Bass
One of the Midwest’s most inventive creative forces, Jeff has more than 100 recording credits and has collaborated with artists like Bobby Watson, Curtis Fuller, Darol Anger, and visionary artist Nick Cave. His performances have reached iconic stages including The Kennedy Center, Lincoln Center, and Kauffman Center for the Performing Arts. Expect bold creativity, deep groove, and fearless improvisation.
🎸 Rod Fleeman – Guitar
A Kansas City jazz staple for more than 30 years, Rod has performed with legendary artists like Marilyn Maye, Karrin Allyson, Jay McShann, and Claude Williams. His playing blends elegance, swing, and deep tradition.
🎷 Matt Otto – Saxophone
Associate Professor of Jazz Studies at University of Kansas, Matt’s international career spans Japan, New York, Los Angeles, and beyond. He has shared the stage with artists like Anthony Wilson, Ben Monder, Eric Harland, and Charlie Haden.
🥁 Brian Steever – Drums
A graduate of the University of Missouri–Kansas City Conservatory and alumnus of the prestigious Betty Carter Jazz Ahead, Brian is known for his dynamic playing, deep swing, and expressive musical drive.
🎹 Roger Wilder – Piano
A cornerstone of the Kansas City jazz scene, Roger performs widely with regional jazz artists and with the Kansas City Symphony. His playing is masterful, melodic, and deeply swinging.
🔥 Together, this powerhouse quintet represents decades of touring, collaboration, and award-winning artistry. Expect dynamic interplay, fresh original compositions, beloved jazz standards, and the spontaneous magic that makes live jazz unforgettable.
