📘 COURSE DESCRIPTION
Fair housing laws affect many aspects of real estate practice. This course examines when fair housing laws apply, what they require, and how they affect the way real estate professionals work with clients and customers.
This 3-hour REQUIRED CE/PL course is available In Person or Live by Zoom.
🏠 NAR FAIR HOUSING REQUIREMENT
This course meets the National Association of REALTORS® Fair Housing training requirement.
Current NAR Fair Housing training requirement is due by December 31, 2027.
📍 IN-PERSON ATTENDANCE
In-person students attend at Carol's Classes LLC classroom in the Historic Creamery Building in Rapid City.
Please arrive approximately 10 minutes before class. The classroom is on the 2nd floor and an elevator is available.
Free parking is available on 2nd Street with no two-hour limit. A few parking spaces are also available behind the building. A ramp is located in the back parking lot at the far end.
💻 LIVE ZOOM ATTENDANCE
Attend from ONE LOCATION for the ENTIRE CLASS in a professional learning environment. You need a working camera and microphone and reliable high-speed internet. You must remain visible on camera and available for attendance checks throughout class. Breaks are excluded.
📚 COURSE MATERIALS
Printed course materials will be provided to in-person students. Course materials will be provided digitally for Live Zoom students.
🎓 CE/PL CREDIT
This course provides 3 hours of REQUIRED South Dakota Continuing Education/Postlicensing credit.
After class, you will receive information for completing the short certificate quiz. This is not a course-content test. After completing the quiz, watch for the passing email with the link to download and save your Certificate of Completion.

🔄 TRANSFERS
You may request a transfer at least 2 business days before class, subject to seat availability. If the new class costs more, you will be responsible for the difference. One transfer is included.

Refunds may be requested up to 1 day before class. Refunds will be reduced by applicable Eventbrite and processing fees.
🌨️ WEATHER & CANCELLATIONS
If a change or cancellation affects class, Carol's Classes LLC will notify registered students by TEXT. Please provide a current cell phone number when registering.
Severe weather may require an in-person class to move to Live Zoom.
