Why Politicians Court the Church (and What Both Sides Really Get)
About this Event
Why has religious faith become one of the most powerful currencies in modern political life?
In an unpredictable world, political figures and modern religious movements have formed an undeniable alliance—trading promises of order and certainty for loyalty and influence. But is it a genuine cultural movement, or simply high-stakes transactional politics?
Join Dr. Michael Wilkinson, Professor of Sociology and Dean of Humanities & Social Sciences at Trinity Western University, at Farm Country Brewing for a fascinating, behind-the-scenes look at how faith, money, and power intersect in unexpected ways—and what happens to culture when the two collide.
Every Sip Smarter talk features a 45-minute casual presentation followed by an open Q&A over craft beer.
