About this Event

This conversation explores the ethical foundations of voting and political inclusion. Rather than focusing on current controversies or partisan debates over (Georgia’s) election law, we hope to step back and examine the enduring questions that underlie democratic participation. Among the questions we may consider are: When it comes to voting, whose voices matter? What responsibilities accompany the right to vote? How should we think about representation, civic belonging, and the moral purposes of enfranchisement in a pluralistic society? Our goal is to illuminate the principles that have shaped, and continue to shape, America's democratic experiment.
