Whole Horse Health is pleased to announce the UK's first standing whole horse dissection with the world renowned Sharon May-Davis.This unique standing dissection is without a doubt, one of the most innovative ways to present equine anatomy and biomechanics. Each participant will be able to view all angles of the horse and be able to palpate directly from left and right, looking at anatomical features in a comparative format as the horse reveal's itself layer by layer. This is an invaluable lesson like no other.
The biomechanics of the limbs are further enhanced when mobility becomes available. The standing dissection allows for a greater range of movement and therefore how the limb influences the upper body whilst in motion.
The standing horse also allows for a much greater understanding and ability for practical sessions with regards to saddle fitting.
Included in the three day dissection you will receive an updated 2022 manual and photographs.
Sharon May-Davis will be supported by Dr Christine Gee a Veterinarian from Australia who has an extensive background in equine therapeutics, and muscular-skeletal issues.
Christine published a peer reviewed journal article on the radiographic technique for diagnosis in April 2020, and has been working with Sharon for many years.
Together they have completed many standing dissections throughout Australia and I am so excited to have them finally together here in the UK to perform the first UK standing dissection.
