We all know of Dr Cockayne’s work here at Ōtari, but he did so much more. Cockayne was a prolific writer of botanical and scientific reports and helped to secure the protection of significant conservation areas around New Zealand. This, centenary year is surely a good time to find out more about Dr Cockayne from Trustees Dr Carol West and Kathy Ombler.
