About this Event
The Empire Café asks, 'Who owns the Clyde?' Join co-hosts Jude Barber and Louise Welsh, invited contributors and fellow audience members, in lively, frank, informed and convivial conversation about complexities around ownership on Glasgow's historic waterfront. Why is the Clyde not a lively, productive part of our infrastructure? What implications does fragmented ownership have for the river’s future? How could the Clyde be reclaimed and reimagined for the benefit of citizens and visitors? What are our hopes dreams for the Clyde? How can we make them reality?
Note: This event will be recorded, and photographs taken. By attending and taking part you will be consenting to selected clips from the event being used in a bonus podcast episode to be aired late-Autumn.
Drinks and snacks will be provided before the event.
Doors open at 6.30pm with the conversation starting just before 7pm and ending around 8.30pm.
