Who is Afraid of Ideology? (part 1, 2017 & part 4, 2022) en lezing/nagesprek met Marwa Arsanios
In deel 1 (2017) van Who Is Afraid of Ideology? gaat Marwa Arsanios in op vormen van zelfbestuur en zelfverdediging die zijn voortgekomen uit de Koerdische autonome vrouwenbeweging. De laatste film in deze quadrilogie, Deel 4: Reverse Shot (2022), onderzoekt de kwesties van erfenis, eigendom, bezit en commons naar aanleiding van een proces van het gemeenschappelijk maken van land in het noorden van Libanon.
In de nagesprek zal Marwa Arsanios haar filmserie en project Who is Afraid of Ideology? bespreken, waarbij ze zich richt op het meest recente proces van het communautariseren van land in Noord-Libanon. De kwestie van eigendom en de ondergang ervan zal centraal staan in de discussie. De lezing zal proberen verschillende strategieën, vormen en politieken van niet-eigendom te doorlopen (van legaal tot agrarisch tot gedwongen toe-eigening).
Marwa Arsanios is kunstenaar, onderzoeker en filmmaker en woont in Berlijn.

Who is Afraid of Ideology? (part 1 , 2017 & part 4, 2022) and artist talk by Marwa Arsanios
In Part 1 (2017) of Who Is Afraid of Ideology?, Marwa Arsanios addresses forms of self-governance and self – defense that have emerged from the Kurdish autonomous women’s movement. The last film in this quadrilogy, Part 4: Reverse Shot (2022), examines the issues of inheritance, ownership, property and commons following a process of communalisation of land in the North of Lebanon.
In the aftertalk Marwa Arsanios will discuss her film series and project Who is Afraid of Ideology?, focusing on the most recent process of communalizing a land in Northern Lebanon. The question of property and its undoing will be central to the discussion. From legal, to agricultural to forced re-appropriation, the talk will attempt to go through different strategies, forms and politics of non-property.
Marwa Arsanios is an artist, researcher and filmmaker living in Berlin.

Who Is Afraid of Ideology? est une série de films sur les formes d’auto-organisation des femmes qui résistent à l’exploitation et la répression au sein des structures du patriarcat, de l’État et du capitalisme. Les quatre films réalisés jusqu’à présent se concentrent en particulier sur la question de la distribution des terres, en soulignant son caractère essentiellement politique qui culmine dans la lutte pour “l’usager et non la propriété”.
