ABOUT SPOOKTACULAR:

Spooktacular is celebrating its 38th Year in Washington Heights and is Milwaukee's longest continually running nighttime trick-or-treat event. Each year Spooktacular moves to a new zone within Washington Heights, giving residents a turn to host the event each year. Streets are closed, front yards and homes are decorated for a fun and safe nighttime trick-or-treating event. This year, it is located in Zone 7: "Hawley Ave to 60th St -- Washington Blvd to Vliet St"

HOUSEHOLD PARTICIPATION:

**Households in the Area 7 spooktacular zone are invited to sign up to hand out candy. WHNA will provide candy to the first 100 member households that sign up (must be a current WHNA member). The deadline to sign up to receive candy from WHNA is October 17th, 2026 or when all 100 slots are filled, whichever happens first. WHNA will provide between 500-700 pieces of candy per household that signs up. We expect to see a minimum of 1,500 trick-or-treaters this year!

**We encourage you to decorate your house! It can be very simple or elaborate. There will be a people’s choice voting competition for best dressed house, get ready to compete! Whether you decorate or not, we just want you to have fun, and you do not need to decorate in order to hand out candy.
HOW TO JOIN THE FUN:

All youth who wish to trick-or-treat and receive candy must register for Spooktacular and use the 2026 official Spooktacular Trick-or-Treat bag that is handed out at registration. At registration all participants will receive detailed information about the Spooktacular Zone location, safety information and instructions.
We welcome all youth to participate and do not want there to be financial obstacles preventing your children from participating - Trick-or-treating should be accessible to all! Please send an email to [email protected] if your family needs financial assistance. We’ll keep all communications confidential.
HOW / WHEN / WHERE TO REGISTER:

All registrations must be done in person at a registration event.
Cash, credit card or Venmo accepted. Registrations are non-refundable.

- $5 per trick-or-treater for current WHNA members (before
October 24th)
- $10 per trick-or-treater for non-members

• Trick-or treating takes place from 6:30-8:30PM within the Spooktacular Zone no matter what the weather – rain, snow or shine.
• Youth who wish to trick-or-treat must register and use the provided Spooktacular trick-or-treat bag.
•There is no make-up date for this event.
• NO PETS are allowed in the Spooktacular Zone.
• No bikes, scooters, skateboards allowed in the Spooktacular Zone.
