White Trash Cooking Festival

This will be the First Annual White Trash Cooking Festival at The Barn, Palm Valley. This is an event celebrating the unique history, culture, and fortitude of the "original" pioneer families of Palm Valley. We will discuss, enjoy, and celebrate the life and times of local Ernie Mickler, author of the NY Times Best Seller “White Trash Cooking” cookbook. This will be a ticketed event. Included in the day's event will be up to 10 local restaurants, featuring their favorite southern cooking, and tastings inspired from Ernie's cookbook. Moonshine distributors and distilleries are invited to showcase Palm Valley inspired cocktails. The event will feature original folk music and popular storytellers, local authors signing their books, and a variety of arts, crafts and activities.
