Let's truly celebrate Independence Day on Sunday, July 4 by exploring the spiritual truth of Freedom - how we are free to live and who we are free to become.
That Sunday's speaker with be Rev. Darin Fenger who, in addition to his talk, will lead us through a healing and uplifting White Stone Ceremony. This ritual finds its roots in an ancient practice of prisoners being given a small white stone to symbolize their new beginning. During our ceremony, we will be identifying where we are ready to release, heal and step into a freeing and empowering new chapter - and receive our white stone.
Stones from Jerusalem will be given to the first 30 people who arrive at YCSL that morning. Everyone watching from home via Facebook Live are encouraged to have their own ritual items ready, whether it's a stone, piece of wood or small paper - anything you can write upon to declare the freedom of your new beginning. These stones or other items become priceless additions to altars or other personal sacred spaces.
