Hey join us for a celebration of all things Continental Drifters!
we are having a party, we have four of the six current drifters (Peter Holsapple, Susan Cowsill, Russ Broussard, Robert Maché) who will be involved in the event (hopefully they’ll do an acoustic performance, wink, wink).
we've got 3 "new" Drifters items that will be available and author Sean Kelly will be here to talk to the drifters IN PERSON! ...and we should have all 3 of these in stock.
“White Noise & Lightning: The Continental Drifters Story,” a book from Cool Dog Sounds
“We Are All Drifters: a Tribute to the Continental Drifters,” a 2-CD tribute compilation featuring Marshall Crenshaw, George Porter Jr., Kim Richey, John Cowsill, Debbi Peterson with the Minus 5, and more.
3. “White Noise & Lightning: The Best of the Continental Drifters,” an LP/CD collection from Omnivore Records.
we will start promptly at 4pm, and there are very few chairs, but we have a decent P.A. and pretty good sight lines overall. By all means, you should get here early though, there's no telling how it'll go... these Drifters are not usually in the same room these days.
