We're excited to announce our very first White Elephant Board Game Exchange! Holidays are coming up and we wanted to add a special event for our board game enthusiasts.
Join FANG(Fem All Night Gaming) on Saturday December 15th at the East Market, second floor above the bar.
Arrive at 5pm to get settled in, eat and mingle. Gift Exchange will begin at 5:30pm!
How to play:
Bring a board game or card game wrapped or in a gift bag that is completely covered! When all of the gifts are set out we will draw cards to decide the order. The first person will grab a gift and unwrap it. Starting on the second person, there is now the option to steal an unwrapped gift from another player or to pick a new gift from the pile to unwrap. The person who just had a gift stolen from them will immediately take another turn and can either take a new gift from the pile or steal from another player. You cannot steal back the gift that was just taken from you. Each gift can only be stolen up to 2 times, on the 2nd steal it is locked in to that player and cannot be stolen again. Once everyone has a gift the game is over!
Additional rules:
You can either buy a new game or bring a used game! We are not enforcing a price limit, please keep in mind that you might leave with a game that is worth less than the one you brought. Used games MUST be in good condition, please check and make sure all pieces are accounted for. After the game is over, trading amongst each other is welcomed!
This exchange will be exclusively board games and card games. Nothing adjacent for example; MTG cards, Pokemon cards or any other trading cards, no classic playing cards, no TTPRPG manuals, no puzzles, no video games.
We also kindly ask you avoid any classic/extremely common game or games geared towards children. Here is a list of games for examples: Monopoly, Clue, Life, Sorry, Yatzi, Chess, Checkers, Jenga, Uno, Candy Land, Apples to Apples, Mouse Trap, Cranium, anything like that! A good rule is, if it's not something an adult would play other adults then probably would avoid.
