Whitby Folk Week 2022 (Saturday 20th-Friday 26th August) offers you a fantastic programme of dance events including ceilidhs, contra, Playford, English dance and mixed programme dances, daily family ceilidhs, and week-long dance workshop series exploring Playford, English dance, Contra & squares, Irish Set and Running Set. Whether you're after a fun night of dancing with friends, events for the kids, in-depth workshops for experienced dancers, or having a go at learning something new, there'll be something for everyone to enjoy!
Evening special events include the ever-popular Themed Ceilidh (Thursday), Playford Costume Ball followed by Late Night Playford (Wednesday) and the Big Contra Night (Monday), plus there'll be a fabulous range of ceilidhs and dances throughout the week with some of the country's top bands and callers.
And that's just one part of the festival - there's a whole programme of concerts, workshops, display dancing, music and singing sessions, children's events and more to take part in, all by the seaside in beautiful Whitby, North Yorkshire.
