Location
The ARC | Glasgow, SC
About this Event
In Spring 2022, a new exhibition of the work of painter and printmaker James McNeill Whistler opened at the Royal Academy of Arts, London, co-curated by the University of Glasgow’s Prof. Margaret MacDonald.
In this talk Dr Elena Cooper argues that copyright history offers new perspectives on this innovative exhibition, and she is joined, in the discussion, by Whistler specialist Dr Patricia de Montfort.
This event will be followed by a poster session in the atrium with researchers from CREATe, the UK Copyright and Creative Economy Centre, examining intellectual property issues across the creative industries.
