Whispers of Kabul: Afghan Food Walk

In Delhi, you'll find many diverse settlements from different parts of India and the world, buzzing with cultural vibrancy, delicious food, unique things to buy, and people to talk to.
One such settlement lies in the heart of Lajpat Nagar, where you'll find many Afghan refugees and travellers. It gives us a chance to explore their eateries—from street food stalls and restaurants to grocery shops selling imported everyday essentials, and bakeries with naanwais making fresh naans for locals and restaurants alike.
On this non-vegetarian food walk, you'll get a chance to sample Uzbeki Palaw (Succulent mutton with rice, topped with carrots and raisins), Mantu (Mutton-stuffed dumplings topped with chana dal and yoghurt), Sheeryakh (Afghan ice cream), Doogh ( A yoghurt drink with dried mint and cucumber), Chapli Kebabs (Juicy buff kebabs), freshly baked naans, Afghani Burger, Baklawa and green tea
Along the way, we'll also talk a little about food history, migration, similarities in cooking techniques, the thoughtful use of spices, geography, and much more.
If you enjoy exploring new cuisines and meaningful conversations around food, then join us on this food walk in Delhi's one-of-a-kind neighbourhoods!
