Bringing 5 whiskies to life through storytelling, music and tales of women’s role in alcohol history; unveiling why some of them were framed as witches!This award-nominated, critically acclaimed whisky experience has garnered several 5-star reviews, two award-nominations, and has sold out shows across Scotland, Northern Ireland, Norway and Denmark, including Edinburgh Festival Fringe, Fèis ìle, Belfast Whiskey Week, and Tunsberg Whisky Festival.
Travel with us to a realm where we breathe life into wonderful whiskies through folklore, storytelling, outstanding tasting notes, and hauntingly beautiful music. On this journey we will venture through women’s undeniable significance in the history of brewing and distilling, and unveil how and why some of them were framed as witches.
For Fringe 2025 we are very proud to announce, that for our third Fringe we have partnered up with the world-renowned Scotch Malt Whisky Society.
Whisky & Witches is the brainchild of Danish singer, composer and OurWhisky Foundation Mentee Christine Kammerer and whisky aficionado Jane Ross, owner of bars The Mother Superior, the Powder Room, and the False Widow in Edinburgh.
