Our cocktail menu just got a seasonal refresh for fall and winter, and this Whiskey Wednesday is all about what went into building it.

Join us for a behind-the-scenes look at how the Laws bartending team takes a drink from an initial idea to the finished cocktail on the menu.

Guests will sample smaller tasting portions of 3 cocktails from our new fall and winter menu while our bartenders walk through the creative process behind each one. From choosing the whiskey and balancing flavors to ingredients, prep, garnishes and presentation.

Along the way, we’ll talk about:

• Where each cocktail idea started
• How fall and winter flavors influenced the new menu
• Balancing sweetness, acid, bitterness, texture and spirit
• Approachable cocktails vs. more adventurous drinks
• How recipes are tested and refined by the team
• What makes a cocktail practical for a busy bar
• Drinks and ideas that didn’t make the final menu and why

We’ll also pull back the curtain on some of the trial and error that goes into cocktail development, including how a drink can change from its first version to the final pour.
