Come celebrate the coming of spring with a dance workshop, take a dinner break (eat some gumbo at Hoku!) and come back for the live music event hosted by Cascade Zydeco, with Seattle band Bayou Envie, doors open at 6:30!
Whiskey River Jitterbug has its roots in Cajun Jitterbug, similar to East Coast Swing or six-count Lindy. It's an energetic, smooth form of Cajun swing dance, also known as the "Lake Charles Slide"

Debra Seeck, aka Mz Jitterbug, believes in the benefits of social dancing, no matter the genre. Debra, an experienced swing dancer, learned the Whiskey River Jitterbug long ago in Henderson, Louisiana. Debra has taught Whiskey River Jitterbug at local venues, dance camps, dance workshops and festivals across the country. 'The dance floor is my playground and music is
candy for my soul!' Partnering with Debra will be Cat Christ, a native of Lake Charles, Louisiana and an accomplished dancer in many genres. She has co-taught at the Waterfront Blues Festival and
other special events.
