Live music and Denver lore weave together in this new hybrid performance, as an album-release show is overtaken by Denver mythology – forcing the bandmates (Sondra, Dan, and Miriam) to contend with friendship, loss, identity, memory, and a cursed pool that “makes men soft.”
What does that mean? Could it be the hot springs in Ouray, or the waterfall at Casa Bonita? And why is there a kiddie pool on stage?
It’s a love letter to our city, to friendships that last… and friendships that don’t.
(This is an album release for the new Teacup Gorilla EP. The performance includes all four songs from the album, along with new material just for the live show. Music and story are based on Miriam's novel, Riding SideSaddle*. Both the album and the novel will be available after the show.)
