With inspiration and techniques from Joanne’s best-selling book The Art of Whimsical Stitching, we will explore ideas and techniques for the “slow stitching” and modern embroidery trend to make your choice of one of three projects:
A 12”x18” hanging tapestry.
A journal/ book covers.
A decorative pillow cover.
Explore our whimsical take on “crazy quilting”, hand stitching (no experience required!) colorful textured blocks from felted wool, threads, fabric, roving, trims and fibers. Try hand needle felting “painting” with wool roving to make your own textured elements. Indulge in a visual feast “art buffet” piled high with wool pieces, threads, fabrics, yarns, beads, trims, buttons and more.
This event fills up quickly and space is limited to 20 participants.
