This program includes a 3 mile long hike into the Long Leaf Pine Habitat. This hike is a deep dive into fire adapted ecosystems and fire ecology. Long Leaf Pine is the forest built by fire, and we need fire to maintain this forest's health. learn how we safely use prescribed fire to restore ecosystem health. Please wear close toed shoes and dress for the weather and bring water.
