Out Our Front Door is excited to work with Friends of the Chicago River. Join us for a socially distanced day ride from the Illinois Centennial Monument to Bunker Hill where we will complete a three-hour trail and forest preserve restoration workday.We will meet at the Illinois Centennial Monument y at 7:45 am. We are heading out on bikes at 8:00 to complete a 7-mile ride to the Bunker Hill meeting spot at N Lightfoot Ave & N Caldwell Ave, Chicago, IL 60646. The workday lasts until 12 pm. Afterward, we have an optional hangout to get lunch and a drink. If you can’t make the ride, but want to volunteer for the workday, meet us at N Caldwell Ave and N Tonty Ave, Chicago, IL 60646.
What to bring: Your bike in good working order, a spare tube, a bike lock, water, a snack, and gardening gloves if you have them. There will be some work gloves available at the site. Long pants are recommended.
