The fourth and final event in the series will feature a conversation with Andy Smith, partner at Oak HC/FT, on the investor perspective of AI in commercial pharma. Andy will discuss where investors are placing bets, how they evaluate emerging technologies, what they look for in commercial AI companies and where they see the greatest opportunities for innovation.

About Andy Smith

Andy Smith, a partner at Oak HC/FT, joined the firm in 2017 and focuses on growth equity and early-stage venture opportunities in healthcare.

Andy serves on the board of Artis BioSolutions and as a board observer at August Bioservices, Curana Health, Infusion for Health and Profound. Andy is also actively involved with Chai Discovery, DispatchHealth, Komodo Health, LetsGetChecked, Maven and Precision for Medicine. His prior investments include Olive and GeneDx (NASDAQ: WGS).

Prior to joining Oak HC/FT, Andy was an associate at Safeguard Scientifics where he focused on technology-driven businesses in healthcare. Prior to this, Andy was an analyst at Credit Suisse where he focused on the healthcare services sector.

Andy received a bachelor of science degree from the University of Virginia’s McIntire School of Commerce.
