In her new (3rd) solo comedy storytelling hour, internationally touring, Berlin based and independent standup comedian from India, Anshita Koul, answers the absolutely unavoidable question (because she tried avoiding it for five years), not with a quick retort, but by telling a short story, long— hoping the audiences are sighing, laughing and crying, in no particular order.
Anshita is on a self-produced tour in 20+ cities in EU including 3 Fringe Festivals and has already received raging audience reviews from a diverse, international crowd in 10 different cities including a great review of her performance at the Tallinn Fringe Festival.

About Anshita Koul
Anshita started her standup career on Indian reality TV show TLC presents Queens of Comedy 2017. She was also the only comedian from the EU to make it to Funny Women Awards 2022 Finals in the UK. She was most recently seen opening for Emmy Award-winning comedian Vir Das on his European comedy tour “Mindfool” in October 2024. Anshita also headlined India's first ever Queer Comedy tour organized by Queer Rated Comedy in Dec 2024. Anshita has three solo comedy shows under their belt in Hindi and English and a huge body of sketch comedy work in her mother tongue Kashmiri. This software engineer turned hardware comedian has performed comedy all over EU, India and her therapist’s office.
When not touring, Anshita is the host and producer of multiple comedy shows in Berlin under the collective Overthink Comedy Club and also is the creator of one of Berlin’s most famous Queer comedy nights Word On The Street representing all shades of funny from the Global south.
