Where Ideas Grow: Habits & Conditions for Creative Breakthroughs
About this Event
Description
Every communications team says they want bold, breakthrough ideas. But most organizations are unconsciously designed to K*ll them. This session gives PR and communications professionals a research-backed framework for building the personal habits and organizational conditions where good ideas don't just happen, they survive.
Bio
Doug Boemler Wareing is Founder and CEO of Nomad Flamingo, a creative firm built by hospitality insiders that specializes in travel, tourism, and experience-driven brands. With more than 25 years in advertising and communications—including 15 years in-house at Universal Orlando Resort, five of them in PR—Doug has spent his career on both sides of the creative process: generating ideas and understanding why good ones don't survive.
That dual perspective shapes everything he teaches about creativity. He's been the person in the room when a great idea gets killed. He's also been the agency partner watching clients reject the very work they asked for. His presentations draw on behavioral research, real-world case studies, and frameworks developed across decades of experience helping experience-driven brands tell stories that move people.
