In the summer months, the Lewis and Clark Expedition was greeted with wide open prairies of native grasses and flowers, many of which we have here on the grounds of the Interpretive Center. After learning a little about them, we’ll be playing ‘detective’ to see if we can discover those same plants here at LCIC. Then the kids will become a part of the Lewis and Clark Interpretive Center’s legacy by planting some perennials to help keep the prairie alive right here in our little corner of America!
For grades K-8th.
