About this Event
When Toothbrushing Feels Hard is an in-person workshop designed for ADHD and autistic adults who want oral care to feel more manageable and sustainable.
Rather than relying on shame, pressure, or “shoulds,” this workshop explores the real factors that can make toothbrushing difficult and offers practical strategies that work with your brain and body.
Together, we’ll explore:
• strategies for sensory discomfort
• executive functioning supports for routines
• flexible options for low-energy days
• implementing neuro-affirming habit supports
Participants will leave with practical tools, flexible backup options, and a personalized plan to support more consistent oral care.
This workshop is grounded in neurodiversity-affirming occupational therapy and focuses on experimentation, flexibility, and real-life solutions.
