When She Was: Four Days of Art and Performance
A solo show featuring the work of mixed media collage artist Lisa Pijuan-Nomura will be in the gallery space at Revival Art Store from Wednesday to Saturday.
Pijuan-Nomura will be hosting THE ARTIST IS IN, a public performance of art and craft from Wednesday until Sunday from 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM daily. It's a comment on the work of the artist, as well as the myth of the "naturally" talented artist. She sits and makes and welcomes others to make along as she creates art, "frames" it and puts it up immediately on the "gallery" wall for sale. Free to attend.
On October 22, join us for the Opening Night and Artist Talk. Light refreshments will be served. Doors open at 6:30 and the Artist Talk is at 7:00 PM. Free to attend.
On Saturday October 24, join us as we host The Hamilton 7 for a night of storytelling featuring Tor Lukasik Foss, Robin LaCambra, Nea Reid, Edith Chavez, Carlyn Rhamey and Lisa Pijuan-Nomura tells stories of When She Was. Tickets are $20 per person and reservations are required. Email [email protected] to hold your spot. Doors open at 6:30 and the show starts at 7:00 PM.
The final day of When She Was features a PWYC Make n' Trade: Artist Trading Card Session. On Sunday October 25 from 12:00 PM to 2:15. Artist Trading Cards are original pieces of art created on 2.5 x 3.5 cards in any art discipline. They can be drawn, painted, collages, sewn, etc! All supplies are provided and after 2 hours you make trades with your fellow artists! All levels are welcome! Reservations are required so we know how many people to expect!
All in all, it's going to be an exciting 4 days of art and performance.
