This is a 3-part class to learn how to throw a mug and attach a handle with a pottery wheel.
The class will meet at Yellowstone Artist Co-Op - 213 11th Street West. It is a wonderful facility that offers space and shared resources for potters.
The first class we will be throwing mug bodies (BUILDING) and learning how to make our mugs into various shapes.
The second class we will putting in foots in the bottoms of the mugs (TRIMMING) and learn about the 4 different ways to make and attach handles. (Time is needed for the mugs to dry down before bisque firing (1st firing), so there will be a 2 week break between trimming and glazing classes).
The third class will be painting our mugs (GLAZING).
You will go home with at least 1 mug.
