Wheel Throwing for Everyone

Schedule
Classes meet once a week for four weeks.
Choose a day of the week:
Mondays: November 10, 17, 24, and December 1
Tuesdays: November 11, 18, 25, and December 2

Time: 5:30 PM – 8:30 PM
Location: New Bedford Art Museum

Price: $225 for the full 4-class series
(Includes all materials. Classes cannot be purchased individually.)

About the Class

Whether you are brand new to the wheel or have been throwing for years, this class welcomes all experience levels. Over four weeks, participants will explore the full ceramics process from centering clay to creating refined finished pieces.

You will learn how to:

• Throw on the potter’s wheel with confidence
• Increase the amount of clay you can handle successfully
• Refine your form to throw taller, thinner, and more consistently
• Attach handles and pull them directly from your forms
• Create functional tableware like mugs, cups, bowls, and plates

An experienced instructor will offer hands-on guidance and individualized support to help you grow your skills and express your creativity through clay.

All materials are provided. Come ready to learn, play, and get a little muddy.
