Curious about working on the pottery wheel? This introductory class is designed for those who are brand new to wheel throwing as well as students with a small amount of prior experience who want a solid foundation.Over the course of eight weeks, students will learn the basics of throwing pottery on the wheel while becoming familiar with essential tools, techniques, and studio vocabulary. The class guides participants through the full process, starting with raw clay and moving through shaping, glazing, and firing. The result is both a practical skill set and finished ceramic work to take home.
All materials and supplies are included, making this an accessible entry point for anyone interested in exploring wheel pottery in a supportive studio environment. Evenings are structured to encourage learning, practice, and connection with fellow students.
