The Wheel of Consent™ was developed by Dr. Betty Martin, a retired chiropractor and sexuality coach. Based on insights gained through her work with The Three-Minute Game, created by Harry Faddis, Dr. Martin identified four distinct dynamics shaped by two simple yet profound factors: who is doing and who it’s for. These distinctions form the foundation of the Wheel of Consent™, a model applicable to both touch and non-touch interactions.
