In this presentation, registered dietician, Michelle Nowak, will explore the nutritional composition of wheat, including its macro content and vitamin/mineral makeup. We will explore the reasons why including wheat in your regular food choices provides health benefits. There are many misconceptions about grains, wheat in particular, being a healthy part of your diet, but in this class we will address many of the common concerns, including gluten, blood sugar control and highly processed foods.Come to the Brown County Central Library on June 23rd at 6:00pm or join virtually via Zoom meeting.

🌾 This is series of four free educational presentations about wheat. Each presentation is on a different aspect of grain including its history, its different forms and uses, its nutritional qualities, and some cooking and baking recipes. Each talk is at 6:00pm-7:00pm at the Brown County Central Library (515 Pine Street) on a four consecutive Tuesdays (June 9th, June 16th, June 23rd, June 30th). You may attend as many or as few as you wish. You may attend in person at the library or virtually via Zoom.
