What’s Your SHINE? Youth Series: Part 1 — What’s Your SHINE?
About this Event
Discover the clues that make you uniquely you!
What are you naturally good at? What do you love doing? What gets your attention? What experiences have shaped you?
In Part 1 of House of Shine’s three-part What’s Your SHINE? Youth Series, teens ages 13–17 will explore the SHINE Framework through interactive activities, reflection, and conversation.
SHINE stands for:
- S — Strengths: What comes naturally to me?
- H — Hobbies: What do I enjoy doing?
- I — Interests & Irritants: What am I curious about, and what problems get my attention?
- N — Needs: What do I need to do my best, and what needs do I notice around me?
- E — Experiences: What moments and experiences have helped shape me?
Participants will begin identifying the qualities, interests, experiences, and patterns that make them uniquely equipped to contribute.
During This Workshop, Participants Will:
- Explore each element of the SHINE Framework
- Identify personal strengths, hobbies, interests, irritants, needs, and experiences
- Participate in interactive self-discovery activities
- Practice talking about themselves with greater confidence
- Begin recognizing patterns and clues about who they are
- Build a foundation for Parts 2 and 3 of the series
