Hulten’s presentation, “Tales of the Sleeping Giant,” will include fascinating stories of the Giant, and the people who lived and worked there. We’ll view photos of Sleeping Giant’s wild history—from the Tarzan Rangers to the cottage formerly located at the mountain’s peak! Librarian Emma Norden will showcase the Whitney Library’s collection of Sleeping Giant ephemera, including original maps and scrapbooks and land deeds of Connecticut indigenous peoples.
The Whitney Library in the New Haven Museum is open to anyone interested in the past of the city of New Haven. With tens of thousands of documents, books, and archives, the Whitney Library is the most expansive collection of New Haven texts in the city.
