About this Event
The European Commission published a proposal for a Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive (CSRD) in 2021. This CSRD is expected to be finalised soon. The CSRD will require thousands of companies to report on sustainability. These future regulations are expected to have major effects on many companies, [as it will provide a common framework for companies to report in, and for consumers and other parties to evaluate companies.]
Programme: During this interactive session, Rachel Castillo and Casper Peterse will discuss the CSRD and its implications. The audience is invited and encouraged to share their thoughts and questions on the upcoming directive.
About the speakers: Rachel Castillo is a human rights consultant in the textile industry. Her focus is on supporting companies to set up a due diligence system. Casper Peterse assists a member of the EFRAG Technical Expert Group. EFRAG is responsible for creating the European standards as stated in the CSRD. During this conversation, the following questions are going to be answered:
- Who does the CSRD apply to?
- What do we know for sure and what is not yet finalised?
- By when must reporting be required?
- When can we expect more information?
- Where do you start as a company?
During the conversation, participants can ask questions. To keep it interactive, a maximum of 20 people can participate.
